HART, Karen Susan - Of Flint, age 73, died Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at her residence.
A memorial service will be held 2pm Saturday, March 25, 2017 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint.
Cremation has taken place.
Contributions may be made to American Diabetes Association.
Memorial visitation will be held 11am Saturday, March 25, 2017 until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Karen was born in Flint on November 25, 1943, the daughter of the late Harold and Laurel (Perry) McColley and was a resident of Flint all of her life. On March 26, 1961, she married James Hart Jr. and was married for 55 years. She retired from Meijer. She also worked as secretary at Brown Funeral Home. Karen was a collector of Precious Moments. She enjoyed participating in Facebook. Karen was an avid gardener and took pride in her yard.
Surviving are husband, James;
daughters, Michelle (Rob) Johnson Mastin and Keri S. Hart;
grandchildren, Cassandra, Natasha, Corey, Jessica, Adam, Matthew, and Cody;
9 great-grandchildren;
daughter-in-law, Lori; sister, Joan Bartlett;
sister-in-law, Joan McColley;
several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her son, Jeffrey Hart, sisters, Jean Meader and Shirley Farrow and brother, Bob McColley.
