Smith, Gregory A. of Flushing, age 68, died Thursday, July 18, 2019. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday, July 22, 2019, at Mayfair Bible Church. Pastor Dean Stewart will officiate. Cremation will follow the funeral services. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Sunday at Rossell Funeral Home and 10 a.m. Monday at the church until the time of the service.
Gregory was born in Monroeville, Ohio on November 27, 1950, the son of Edwin and Bette Smith. He married Janine Wilcox on August 27, 1999. Greg worked for USF Holland Trucking for 48 years. He had a passion for drag racing and found a hobby in racing RC cars. He loved boating, card games, and playing his music loud. He could often be found at the baseball field rooting his son on in the stands. He was a devoted husband and father and carried compassion to anyone he came in contact with. He was a member of Mayfair Bible Church.
Greg is survived by his wife, Janine; children, Trevor Smith, Ashley Wilcox, Allison Wilcox; sister, Debbie Ragan; cousin, Cheryl Garner and Timmy; nieces, Denise and husband Terry; Tammy and husband Brad Swain; nephew Kempton Swartwood; great-niece and nephew, Tristan Coon and Ragan Swain. He was preceded in death by his parents Edwin and Bette, Aunt Laverne, and brother-in-law Brad Ragan.
