Savage, Maxine Louise Ordiway McGlashen was born in Flint, MI to John and Vera (McArthur) Ordiway on March 30, 1926 and she died at home in Flint, MI on October 31, 2020 at the age of 94. She was a graduate of Imlay city High School Class of 1944, and she celebrated 75 years since her graduation at a luncheon in June 2019. January 19, 1946 she was joined in marriage to Doyle D. McGlashen in Lapeer, MI. They had four daughters; Jane, Sara, Susan and Sylvia. On February 6, 1960 she was joined in marriage to Henry (Bud) Savage Jr. in Lapeer, MI and they lived in Otter Lake, MI. Maxine was honored on her 90th birthday by being recognized as a Rosie and she did 'war work' during WWII while working for Chrysler. Maxine was an Avon Lady, worked as a bookkeeper and also sales at Vosburg's in Lapeer and the telephone office in Imlay City. She was also a member of the Red Hat Hussies of Lapeer. Maxine's spunky personality with her kind smile will be remembered by all that knew her. Most notably she was as great as it gets as a mother and grandmother and a friend to all. Maxine is survived by daughters; Sara and husband Arlen Bates, Susan Draper Templeton and Sylvia Renshaw Smith; grandchildren; Aaron and wife Andrea Bates, Justin Bates and fiancee Crissy Smith, Scott and wife Katie Baxter, Corey and wife Christine Draper, Benjamin Draper, Matthew and wife April Renshaw, Emily Smith and fiance Jacob Garchow, Brett and wife Danielle Templeton, Eric Templeton; great grandchildren, Brooke, Aidan, Brandon Bates, Caleb Bates, Peter, Henry, Abraham, Christopher, Mary, Luke and Anthony Baxter, Connor, Carolyn and Carissa Draper, Olivia and Samuel Renshaw and Ryland Bollinger, Paige and Trevor Templeton, Zachery Templeton, Joshua and Jessica Wagle; sister Doris Law, several nieces and nephews that were all special to her. Meeting her in heaven will be her parents, husband Henry, infant daughter Jane, infant granddaughter Elizabeth Smith, siblings Eldon Ordiway and Velma Smith, son's-in-law Doane Renshaw and Ross Templeton. Cremation has taken place and burial will be at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, with her husband Henry. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
