STURK, Deanna June – of Clio, age 79, died Monday, April 20, 2020 at McLaren Flint. A private Graveside Service will be held Wednesday, April 22, 2020 at Sunset Hills Cemetery. A Celebration of Life will be held in the Summer of 2021. Memorial contributions can be made to Maple Woods Manor.
Deanna was born June 27, 1940 in Flint, Michigan to the late Delbert and Gladys (Waggermon) Priest. She grew up in Burton, Michigan and graduated from Bendle High School with the class of 1958. She married Gerald Sturk in 1960 in Flint, Michigan and he preceded her in death in 2000. Prior to her retirement, Deanna worked as a Secretary for Bendle Public Schools with 20 years of service. She was a member of New Community Church of God. Deanna was also a Cub Scout Leader and a member of the Burton City Fire Department Auxiliary. She enjoyed cake decorating and traveling with her husband Gerald.
Surviving are: Children, Timothy Sturk, Darin (Sheila) Sturk; numerous Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren; Siblings, Shirley Ballentine, Linda (Carey) Youpee; several nieces and nephews.
