BOWRON, Harold W. – Of Flint, age 95, died Monday, April 11, 2011 at Brian's House of Davison.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 13, 2011 at Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Pastor Carl Cooke officiating.
Burial in Sunset Hills Cemetery.
Those desiring may make contributions to Brian’s House.
Visitation 3-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Mr. Bowron was born in Flint, Michigan on May 31, 1915, the son of Frank and Anna Bowron, and was a resident of Flint all of his life. He married Jennie Dimmick on April 29, 1939. Mr. Bowron was employed by General Motors at Fisher Body I and the Tank Plant in Grand Blanc for 45 1/2 years, retiring in 1980.
Surviving are two children, Gary and wife Barb of Nebraska,
Jackie and husband Ron Ford of Davison; seven grandchildren;
15 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jennie, on April 20, 2009 and grandson, Greg, in 1995.
