BEARDSLEY, Billy G. - Of Davison, age 76, died Monday, September 16, 2013 at his residence.
Funeral service will be held 11am Thursday, September 19, 2013
at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint
Pastor Franklin Beck officiating.
Burial in Evergreen Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Visitation 12-8pm Wednesday at the funeral home.
Billy was born in Monette, Arkansas on September 23, 1936. He came to the Flint area in 1955 and was a resident of Davison most of his life. He married Betty L. Gardner on May 18, 1962. He was employed with the GM Truck Plant for 32 years, retiring in 1988. Billy was an avid fisherman and golfer. He loved gardening, playing cards and cribbage. He enjoyed Friday nights at moms.
Surviving are wife, Betty; son, Billy Wade Beardsley;
grandson, Dylan Beardsley;
step-daughter, Tammy Woods;
mother, Edna Beardsley;
siblings, Jennilee Stresen-Reuter, Ora Mae Hager, Doris (Donald) Early, Patsy (Jeff) Davis, Linda (Jim) Overmyer, James (Karen) Beardsley, Nathan (Debbie) Beardsley, Diane (Jerry) Driggett, Pamela Beardsley, Vicki (Wally) Arsenault, Thomas (Lori) Beardsley;
many many nieces and nephews;
special friends and neighbors, Bob and Judy Beal.
He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Beardsley.
