Robert Lee Tew Sr, of Flint Township formerly of Lapeer, age 74, died Monday April 2, 2018 at Hurley Medical Center. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Friday April 6, 2018 at Heather Creek Church 4507 S. Dory Hwy, Flint. Pastor Gary Curell officiating, burial will follow in Davison Cemetery. Family will receive visitors form 4-8 pm Thursday at the funeral home. Robert will lie in state at the church form 10:00 am Friday until time of services. Robert was born in Flint Michigan on November 27, 1944 the son of the late; Edward & Beatrice (Duford) Tew and had resided in Lapeer area for over twenty years and spending the rest of his life in Flint. He was a member of the Heather Creek Church in Flint, and had been employed by General Motors Fisher Body and Buick Motors Division until is retirement. Surviving is wife Irma, daughter Tammy Burris, son Robert Tew Jr, grandchildren Holly Groat and Elijah Burris and great grandchild Bradley Groat. He also leaves his sister Dianna Tew, step-daughters Tonya Word, Denise Hudnall, six step grandchildren and a host of extended family. Please share your condolences at www.hansenfuneralhome.net |
