BURNAINE, Donald E. - Of Burton, age 71, died Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at his residence.
Funeral service will be held 11am Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint.
Burial in Great Lakes National Cemetery.
Those desiring may make contributions to the Wounded Warriors Project or Disabled American Veterans.
Visitation 4-8pm Monday at the funeral home.
Donald was born in Tennessee Ridge, Tennessee on January 23, 1947, the son of the late Ira and Susie (Smith)Burnaine. On January 26, 1990 he married Mary in Grand Blanc. Donald served his country in the United States Army and was a member of the Disabled American Veterans. Donald retired from General Motors in 1999.
Surviving are wife, Mary;
son, Christopher Burnaine;
daughter, Melissa Hill;
step-children, James Wilkinson, Laura and husband, Tony LePard;
10 grandchildren;
sisters, Marge Willoughby, Sue and husband Cliff Lumpkins, Joyce Solomon, Patsy and husband Billy Melton;
brother, Gene and wife Claudia Burnaine;
many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by stepson, Daniel Wilkinson and brothers, Herman Burnaine and Bill Burnhard.
