Bone, Eva L. of Flushing, age 88, died Saturday, March 25, 2017, at her home. Funeral services will be 12 noon Tuesday, March 28, 2017, at Cornerstone Baptist Church. Pastor Aaron Whitman will officiate. Burial will follow at Flushing Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Monday at Rossell Funeral Home and 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church until the time of the service. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to Carriage Town Ministries.
Eva was born in Gregory, Arkansas on June 13, 1928, the daughter of Richard C. and Naoma (Corbin) Duke. She married Neal M. Bone in Augusta, Arkansas on October 17, 1947. After 67 years of marriage, he preceded her in death on February 17, 2015. Eva was employed by AC Spark Plug and Bell Telephone before she opened her own beauty shop where she worked as a beautician. She was an active member of Cornerstone Baptist Church. Eva was strong in her Christian faith and loved sharing that with others. She was an avid reader and enjoyed walking and bike riding in her earlier years. Her greatest joy was her family and she loved having Sunday family dinners and made every holiday special with her wonderful cooking.
Eva is survived by her daughters, Anita and husband Phillip Bleck of Flushing, Brenda Lawson-Anthony; grandchildren, Laura (Eric), Brandon (Kate), Brent, Lauren; nine great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; extended family; and loving caregivers, Merrianne Rodgerson, Sharon Ward, Cheryl Fabian, Becky Tilger, Wendy Salerno, Pat Hawkins, and Ann Wates. She was also preceded in death by her granddaughter, Melissa; brothers, Lawrence and Jack; sisters, Barbara and Jackie; and sons-in-law, Larry Lawson and Robert Anthony.
