Joined our Heavenly Father on Thursday, August 7, 2014 at her home; age 65 years. Terrie was born on April 1, 1949 in Flint, MI to the late Donald and Virginia (Whitten) Oman. She graduated from Mt. Morris High School, Mt. Morris, MI in 1967. Terrie was married to Edward T. Coha on July 7, 1967 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Mt. Morris, MI; he survives her. They resided in Mt. Morris for the next two years, moving to the Vassar area in 1970. Terrie and Edward celebrated their 47th wedding anniversary in July of this year.
Surviving besides her loving husband, Edward are son, Gerald E. (Heather) Coha of Lake Orion, MI; daughter Terrie Lynn (Brian) Cassidy of Swartz Creek, MI; Grandchildren, Scerria D. (Robert) Ford of Denham Springs, LA, Tabitha Lynn Cassidy of Swartz Creek, MI, Alexis Coha and Alivia Coha of Lake Orion, MI; great grandchildren, Cora Lynn Ford and Clay R. Ford of Denham Springs, LA; brothers, Donald (Angie) Oman, Stanly (Irene) Palmer; sister, Sue Wenn; many nieces and nephews; brother-in-law, Thomas (Elaine) Coha; sister-in-law, Sally(Werner) Heller; special cousin, Sister Thomas Eileen Coha, Lagrange, IL.
Terrie was a member of Blessed Trinity Catholic Church. She taught religious education classes for over 20 years. She was also a youth group coordinator for 13 years; organizing many functions for the church youth. She also functioned as Eucharistic Minister for many years.
Terrie was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, August 13, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Blessed Trinity Catholic Church, 958 E. Tuscola St., Frankenmuth, MI. Fr. Robert Byrne will officiate with burial in Blessed Trinity Cemetery. Terrie’s family will receive visitors at Cederberg Funeral Home of Frankenmuth, 590 N. Franklin St. on Tuesday from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and at church on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. There will be a Vigil Service on Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to Diabetes Association or Blessed Trinity Catholic Church. Many thanks to Grace Hospice, especially Tracy Yates, Darby Hawes, and Sherry Gastin for their support. Special thanks to caregiver, Melissa Calhaun for all of the love and compassion she gave Terrie and Ed during her final days.
