PANOS, Aristoteles – Of Flushing, age 76, died Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at McLaren-Flint.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, November 23, 2015 at Assumption Greek Orthodox Church, 2245 East Baldwin Road, Grand Blanc, Father Angelo Maggos officiating.
Burial in Evergreen Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Assumption Greek Orthodox Church.
Visitation 4-8 p.m. Saturday and 3-8 p.m. Sunday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road.
A Trisagion Service will be held at 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Aristoteles was born in Akritas Florina Greece on March 3, 1939, the son of John and Alvona (Gagatsi) Panos.
On May 22, 1976 he married Spiridoula Christakis in Flint.
He left Greece and went to Germany studying Chemistry before immigrating to the United States in 1967, where he became very well known in the restaurant business.
Mr. Panos had presently owned Liberty Family Dining in Flushing since 1974.
Surviving are wife, Spiridoula;
children, John and wife Irene of Flushing,
Litsa and husband Peter Karakitsos of Flushing,
George and wife Diane of Indiana and
Christina and husband Shibley Shamshoum of Texas;
11 grandchildren;
one great-grandchild;
sister, Maria and husband Vasili Roufos of Grand Blanc;
sister-in-law, Niki Panos of Swartz Creek;
many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Kosta and George.
