PENOYER, Jan C. - Of Flint, age 58, died Sunday, April 8, 2012 at McLaren-Flint. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 12, 2012 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Pastor Tedd Culver officiating. Burial in Evergreen Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Jan’s minor children.
Jan was born in Flint on April 3, 1954, the daughter of the late Frederick Jr. and Carol Penoyer. Jan graduated from U of M-Flint with a degree in Elementary Education. She was a member of Ainsworth Baptist Church. Jan enjoyed walking, foster care and spending time with her family. She was employed by the Flint Community Schools for several years. Prior to teaching, she was employed at St. Joseph Hospital for 17 years.
Surviving are children, Alicia (Harold) Willis, Ricky Penoyer and Tiffany Penoyer;
Granddaughters, Maria and Juliauna;
Brothers, Kim (Babette) Penoyer, Scott (Sue) Penoyer, Todd (Wendy) Penoyer;
Several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Frederick III and Keith.
