Londrigan, Velma E. of Corunna, age 95, passed away Friday, January 30, 2015, at her home. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Tuesday, February 3, 2015, at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 400 N. Saginaw Street, Montrose. Fr. Gary McInnis will officiate. Burial will follow at St. Robert Catholic Cemetery, Flushing. Visitation will be 1-8 p.m. Monday at Rossell Funeral Home and 10 a.m. Tuesday at the church until time of the Mass. A Vigil for Mrs. Londrigan will be prayed 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to Outreach Mass, 1500 E. Saginaw Street, Lansing, MI 48906; Twin Township Ambulance Service; or Shiawassee County Humane Society.
Velma and her twin, Verna, were born in Buckley, IL on December 24, 1919, the daughters of Fred and Pauline (Luhrsen) Sprehe. Velma attended Salem Lutheran Elementary School and graduated from Owosso High School in 1938. She married George H. Londrigan at St. Paul Catholic Church in Owosso on June 22, 1946. They were married 55 years before he preceded her in death on May 28, 2002. She was a member of St. Robert Catholic Church and the Council of Catholic Women, Flushing.
Velma had been employed in the office at Central Steel & Wire, Chicago, IL; Redmonds of Owosso; and retired from the Shiawassee County Friend of the Court in 1978. She loved to sew, was a 4-H sewing leader, and donated lap robes she made to the Veterans and nursing homes. She always looked forward to attending the annual Michigan Twin Conventions and the International Twin Association Conventions throughout the United States and Canada.
Velma is survived by two sons, G. William and Ralph; daughter, Ann (Everett) Niemann. She was also preceded in death by her older siblings, Fred, Leo, Esther and Art; twin sister, Verna; and son, Eddie.
