NASS, George H. – of Montrose, age 82, died Tuesday, July 10, 2012 at McLaren of Flint. Funeral services will be held at 6 PM Thursday, July 12, 2012 at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Montrose. Rev. Dr. Carl Petty officiating. Cremation to follow. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 12 Noon until time of services at 6 PM. Contributions may be made to Fresenius Medical Care, Genesee Valley Dialysis, 2222 S. Linden Rd., Flint, MI 48532.
George was born September 27, 1929 in Saginaw to the late Henry and Cecile (Van Norman) Nass. He married Patricia Cosner on July 11, 1959 and they lived in Montrose since 1961. He retired from Grand Trunk Railroad in 1988 with 38 years seniority. George was a member of the Montrose Fraternal Order of Eagles. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening.
Surviving are: wife, Patricia; 2 daughters, Stacy (Paul) Cloutier of Clarkston, Amy (Christopher) Sytek of Burton; 3 grandchildren, Evan Sytek, Olivia Cloutier and Sofia Cloutier; brother, Johnny (Bertha) Nass of Burt; sister, Donna Tomasik of Burt; several nieces and nephews.
