Carol Ann Eberhardt (Briggs), 84, of Davison, Michigan, passed away on May 31, 2024. She was born on April 11, 1940, in Flint, MI, to the late Gordon and Alberta Briggs-Kime.
Funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, June 6, 2024 at Community of Christ Church, 1158 West Bristol Road, Flint, Evangelist Mary McClellan officiating.
Visitation 12:30 p.m. Thursday until the time of the service at church.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the American Red Cross in her honor.
Carol was a dedicated nurse who made a lasting impact in her community. She began her career at Flint Osteopathic Hospital, where she taught natural childbirth. Later, she worked at Hurley Hospital in the oncology department. Carol's passion for nursing touched many lives over the years.
Outside of her career, Carol devoted her time to volunteering as a nurse for the American Red Cross, specializing in disaster relief. She also found joy in sewing, especially creating heirloom clothing for babies and children. Her exceptional sewing skills earned her awards and recognition in Sew Beautiful magazine.
Carol is survived by her children, Ellen Eberhardt, Rebecca Burnham, and Jordan Eberhardt, as well as her grandchildren, Andrew Burnham, Alexander Burnham, Samantha Strebig, Morgan Strebig, and Elyse Morgan. She is also survived by her brother, Ronald Briggs, and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gary Eberhardt, her parents, Gordon and Alberta, and her brother, Gordon (Jerry).
The Swartz Funeral Home in Flint, MI, is assisting the family with arrangements during this difficult time.
