EROME, Fred - Age 83, of Linden, passed away at his home and the world lost a wonderful, hardworking man on August 21, 2018. Funeral services will be held 3 PM Saturday, August 25, 2018 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Linden Chapel, 209 E. Broad St., Linden. Visitation will be held from 4-7 PM Friday. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your favorite charity in memory of Fred. Fred was born January 18, 1935 in Flint, the son of John and Genevieve (Galerneau) Jerome. God gained an all round handyman, electrician and carpenter. Fred loved his family, being in Florida, fishing, deer hunting and having breakfast with his buddies from the shop. Fred was a journeyman electrician with General Motors, at Chevy in the Hole, for 38 years. He married his high school sweetheart, Betty over 62 years ago and she is his sweetheart forever. He is survived by his wife, Betty; children, John (Linda) Jerome, Sandra (Mike) Whaley, Linda (Jack) Johnson, Diana Hensley; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brother, John (Fran) Jerome; sister, Madonna Aubrey.
