GEYER, Betty J. - Of Swartz Creek, age 97, died Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at Courtyard Manor in Swartz Creek with her daughters by her side.
A memorial service will be held 1pm Thursday, October 5, 2017 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint,
Father Bill Wegher officiating.
Cremation has taken place.
Contributions may be made to McLaren Hospice or a charity of one’s choice.
Visitation 11am Thursday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Betty was born in Flint on May 28, 1920, the daughter of the late Norman and Florence (Cousins) Harvey. She married Billy Geyer in January, 1940. Betty was a member of Christ Episcopal Altar Guild and China Painters Guild. She loved gardening, reading, sewing, playing cards and traveling the world with her girlfriends.
Surviving are daughters, Judy and husband John Havrilla of Fenton, Linda Sherrill of Swartz Creek, Vicki and husband Tom Hannah of Alanson and Wendy and husband Mike Norton of Swartz Creek;
9 grandchildren and 18 (almost 19) great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy and brothers, Bill and Bob Harvey.
A special thanks to all the staff at Courtyard Manor in Swartz Creek for their excellent care for four years.
