Parkinson, Ricky – of Clio, age 59, passed away Saturday, February 22, 2025, at his residence. Honoring his wishes, cremation will take place. A Celebration of Ricky’s life will be held at 3PM on Friday, March 7, 2025, at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. The family will receive visitors on Friday from 2PM until the time of service. Memorial contributions may be made to the family for his grandchildren.
Ricky was born on April 17, 1965, in Flint, Michigan, to loving parents Roger and Nancy (Vorachek) Parkinson, who cherished him deeply. Ricky was a proud graduate of Millington High School, having obtained his diploma in 1983. He dedicated over 22 years of his life to Kettering University, where he worked as a maintenance professional. His commitment to his work was evident, and he was a respected figure among his peers. A true lover of the outdoors, Ricky found joy in every moment spent in nature. Whether he was riding his motorcycle, hunting, fishing, or camping, he embraced the beauty of the world around him. However, what brought him the greatest fulfillment was his family. Ricky's grandchildren were his pride and joy, and he cherished every moment spent with them.
Surviving are: Children: Brandon Parkinson and Kayleigh (Guile) Lang; Grandchildren: Nevaeh, Hazel, Jaxson, Emmett, Scarlett; Parents, Roger and Nancy Parkinson; Siblings: Craig Parkinson, and Jeanne Parkinson.
