POMROY, Gerald E. “Jerry” – Of Birch Run, age 83, died Sunday, July 30, 2017 at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 7:30PM Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Cremation to follow. Pastor Bob Leming officiating. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4PM until the time of service at 7:30PM. Memorial contributions may be made to the Montrose Family Worship Center.
Jerry was born February 27, 1934 in Montrose, Michigan to the late Louis and Geraldine (Meyers) Pomroy. He graduated from Montrose High School in 1951. Jerry served during the Korean war as an Army Sergeant from 1952 – 1956. Mr. Pomroy retired from General Motors – Fischer Body in 1996 with 40 years of service. Jerry was a member of the Montrose Family Worship Center for the past 3 years. He enjoyed remodeling, construction, animals (not pigs though), and helping people in need. Jerry preferred to be busy, and was a jack of all trades.
Surviving are: Children: Shelly (Richard) Huber, Tammy (Alan) Renico, Albert (Kamary) Pomroy, Tanya (Dick) O’Connor, Judy (Bob) Russell, Jackie (Bill) Morrison; Grandchildren: Jacqueline (Craig) Pavkovich, Mitchell Huber, Joshua Pomroy, Jonathan Pomroy, Heather (Travis) Reddell, Nathan (Alex) Renico, Dana Erber; Great grandchildren: Trey Pavkovich, Oliver Pavkovich, Serenity Renico, Lincoln Renico; Brother, Bob Pomeroy; Daughter-in-law, Kim Pomroy. Jerry was also preceded in death by wives: Arletta, Avis, and Eleanor; Son, Chuck Pomroy; Grandchildren: Adam Russell, and Richie O’Connor; Brother, Jim Pomroy; Sister, Joyce Pomroy.
