POLI, Raymond D. - Of Mt. Morris, age 72, died Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at Hospice House of Shiawassee County.
A Memorial Service will be held 1pm Saturday, February 24, 2018 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint,
Rev. Father Roy Horning officiating.
Cremation has taken place.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice House of Shiawassee County.
Visitation 12 Noon Saturday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Raymond was born in Spring Valley, Illinois on October 31, 1945. Raymond served in the United States Marines during Vietnam. He worked for the City of Flint Police Department as a radio repairman. Raymond belonged to the Big Brother Association in Michigan and California. He also a hospice volunteer. Raymond played guitar, enjoyed working with electronics and woodworking.
Surviving are daughter, Katherine and husband Jeremy Carter;
son, Dominic;
“Poppa” to his grandchildren. Avery and Alexandria;
sisters, Pauline and husband Richard Yount, Nancy and husband Tom Chittle and Theresa and husband Steve Langley;
brother, Joseph and companion Chris;
several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Maxine and brother, Frank.
Special thank you to all the nurses in McLaren ICU and McLaren Hospice, and special thank you to Nurse, Teresa and Social Worker, Tami and caregivers at Hospice House of Shiawassee County.
