MOORE, Rachel Imogene - Of Flint, age 85, died Monday, September 7, 2020 at her home.
Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, September 10, 2020 at Hill Creek Church, 5363 West Hill Road, Swartz Creek, Bishop Jeffrey Lambert officiating, visitation starting at 12 p.m. at the church.
Burial in Flint Memorial Park.
Rachel was born in Malden, Missouri on March 29, 1935, the daughter of the late James F. and Dollie A. (Dockins) King.
On August 15, 1953 she married Wayne Moore and he preceded her in death.
Rachel was employed by General Motors/AC Spark Plug Division for over 50 years and was a member of UAW Local #651.
She loved to shop for herself and others. She was an excellent cook known for her homemade yeast buns and fried chicken.
Above all else, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
Surviving are children, Deborah (Lin) Moore, Stephan (Julie) Moore, James (Debbie) Moore and Crystal (Dennis) Brandon;
26 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren;
many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James F. and Dollie A. King; daughter, Angela Aguilar; son, Michael Moore; brothers, James and Buddy Lee King; granddaughter, Sherrie Ann Moore.
