Mr. Steven D. Horton was born March 1, 1966 in Arkadelphia, Arkansas, the son of Artel Horton and Floella Horton.
Stevie “D” was born in Arkadelphia, Arkansas and relocated to Flint, Michigan with his family at an early age. He attended school at Flint Southwestern and Northwestern High School, and Everett High School in Lansing, Michigan. He attended 2nd Chance Church in Flint, Michigan.
Stevie “D” was a jolly young man and made friends very easily. If you needed any type of assistance, he was always there. He was a handyman in three states; Michigan, Indiana, and Arkansas. He felt he could fix anything. Lending a hand was his forte. He will be remembered as a person who would help anyone just for a cup of “coffee,” and a cigarette break. Horton of TN; 13 nieces, Keisha Horton of Austin, TX, Ameera (Dillon) Bourgeous of GA, Tiffany, Tian, Paris, Mario, Nova, and Ranesha Towner all of Flint, MI, Ozri Horton of TN, Ariana and Kiana of IN, Olivia and Melody Turner of NC; 7 nephews, Keith Horton, Jr. of Dallas, TX, Anthony Horton II, Khiry Horton and Keyontae Horton all of Flint, MI, Nikolas and Micah Turner of NC, and Montrell Poplar of GA; 6 aunts, Ida Belle Kaufman Scott of Lansing, MI, Lucretia Hestor of Chicago, IL, Conseuella (Vernon) James of Little Rock, AR, Lana (Derrick) Aldridge, Angela Green, and Gana Green all of Flint, MI; 4 uncles, Charles Horton of Arkadelphia, AR, James (Alice) Horton of Pine Bluff, AR, Corey Green and Curtis (Shawrice) Green both of Flint, MI; a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
Stevie “D” was preceded in death by: grandparents, Lucious and Florener Heard, Arto Horton, and Vennie Jean Mitchell; and uncle, Lennie Scott.
