BROHN, Gerald Lee – Of Flushing, age 74, died Friday, November 4, 2011. Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, November 8, 2011 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 402 South Ballenger Highway, Flint, Pastor Steven R. Maske officiating. Per Gery’s wishes cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church Endowment Fund. Visitation 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road. Visitation 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the church until the time of the Memorial Service. Gery was born in Flint, Michigan on September 3, 1937,
the son of the late Christian and Barbara (Klasner) Brohn. He served his country in the U.S. Army Reserves. On June 23, 1962 he married Lois Glandorf in Flint. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, where he used his gifts in numerous activities. Gery enjoyed golfing, bowling, traveling and singing. He was a people person and was a friend to everyone. Mr. Brohn was employed by GM for over 40 years retiring in 2002. He was a loving husband and father. Surviving wife, Lois; sons, Jeffrey, Peter (Karen) and Daniel; brother, David (Celia); close cousin, John (Gretchen) Klasner; many nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends.
