WAGNER, Myrtle H. – of Montrose, age 103, died Monday, December 31, 2018 at Maplewoods Manor in Clio. Honoring her wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held 3PM, Thursday, January 3, 2019 at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Montrose. Pastor Hal Phillips officiating. Family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Thursday from 12PM until the time of service at 3PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

Myrtle was born December 25, 1915 in Montrose, Michigan to the late Rueben and Mable (Bronson) Christopher. She married George Wagner on November 11, 1933 in Flint, Michigan. He preceded her in death on March 27, 1970. Myrtle worked at General Motors during World War II. She then went to work as a caregiver for Winchester Hospital in Flushing. Myrtle was a previous member of Montrose United Methodist Church. She enjoyed collecting, reading, crocheting and doing puzzles.

Surviving are: Son, Michael (Libby) Wagner; Grandchildren: James (Barb) Wagner, Joseph Wagner, Karen (Jim) Jones, and Amy (Jeff) Mcalevy. Great grandchildren: Nicole Jones, Wendy Smith, Michael Black, and Sarah Jones; Great-great grandson, Garrison Limron; Sister, Florence Christopher, and many nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by: Children: Maxine Wagner, Richard Wagner, and Marlene Wagner; Brothers: Donald and Kenneth; Sisters: Hattie and Violet.
