MARVOSH, Daisy – Of Fenton, age 90, passed away on Saturday, June 28, 2014.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at
St. Nicholas Orthodox Church, 2143 South Center Road, Burton,
Father Matthew-Peter Butrie officiating.
Burial in Evergreen Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be directed to St. Nicholas Orthodox Church.
Visitation 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road.
A Parastas Service will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
There will be visitation at the church from 10 a.m. Wednesday until the time of the service.
Daisy was born in Flint, to the parents of Peter and Draga Baich.
She married Sam Mavosh in 1947, raised her family in Pontiac, MI and moved to Davison, MI in 1978.
She enjoyed finding new recipes, gardening, traveling and spending time with her family and friends.
Daisy was a member of St. Nicholas Orthodox Church and an active member of the St. Catherine’s Women’s League.
Surviving are daughter, Donna (Marvin) Zischke;
son, Robert (Tammy) Marvosh;
brother, John Baich of Golden, CO;
special niece, Allison Borkovich;
many nieces, nephews and all of her family from Almost Home Assisted Living in Fenton, MI.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Sam, in 2002; brothers, Joe and Nick Stikovich; sisters, Mildred Spence and Helen Tracy.
The family extends our deepest appreciation and thanks to caregivers at Almost Home Assisted Living and Gentiva Hospice for their compassionate care for Daisy and allowing her to leave us with dignity.
