WILCZYNSKI, Mary Jane – of Clio, age 81, died Monday, May 20, 2013 at her residence. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM Friday, May 24, 2013 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 11110 N. Saginaw St. in Mt. Morris. Fr. Thomas Nenneau officiating. Burial to follow in New Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Friends may call at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio on Thursday from 2-8PM where a Scriptural Rosary will be held at 6 PM and an FOE Memorial at 7 PM. She will lie in state at the church on Friday from 10 AM until time of Mass at 11 AM. Contributions may be made to Catholic Charities.
Mary was born on October 29, 1931 in Oakland County to the late Carl and Edith (Lewis) Anderson and lived in Clio since 1970. She married Eugene Wilczynski on April 29, 1950. He preceded her in death on August 27, 2006. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Dom Polski and the Fraternal Order of Eagles Clio Aerie # 3609. She enjoyed taking care of birds, reading books, going to the movies and the casino.
Surviving are: children, Mike Wilczynski of IL, Patty (Scott) Barr of Swartz Creek, Susan Schantz of Flint; special daughter in law, Mary Wilczynski of Clio; grandchildren and great grandchildren; siblings, Richard (Janice) Anderson, Judy (Victor) Rayner, Dale (Ruby) Anderson all of Flint; sister in law, Wanda Wisniewski of Swartz Creek; nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by: her son, Dan Wilczynski in 2007; and a brother, Bobby Anderson. The family extends a special thank you to the staff of Gentiva Hospice.
