JOHNSON, Harold Theodore - age 95, formerly of Grand Blanc, died Sunday, January 22, 2017. Services will be held 11 AM Thursday, January 26, 2017 at Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Flint. Visitation will be held 5-8 PM Wednesday at the funeral home. Mr. Johnson was born September 14, 1921 in Flint, the son of Charles William and Esther Sophia (Pearson) Johnson. He married Phyllis Ephraim on June 3, 1950 and she preceded him in death on June 13, 1994. Mr. Johnson was a graduate of Flint Northern High School and a veteran of World War II. He served in the Marine Corp and was wounded in the Battle of Iwo Jima. After being honorably discharged, he attended General Motors Institute. He was employed by General Motors as a tool and die maker and later worked in purchasing. Harold then started his own business as a manufacturer's representative, Harold Johnson and Associates. Surviving are: three children, Janice (John) Orin of Corunna, Cynthia (Margaret) Cieciwa, H. Thad (Pamela) Johnson of Rochester Hills; grandchildren, Hal White, Sean White, and Laura Greasehaber; great-grandchildren, Jack, Calvin, Elle, Alli, and Denon; two sisters, Margaret Main of Ocean Park, WA and Helen Hobson of Hale; many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was also preceded in death by four brothers: Austin, Carl, Arthur and C.N. "Pete" Johnson. Friends may share an online tribute on the obituary page of www.sharpfuneralhomes.com. |
