CHRENKO, Mary H - age 92, of Swartz Creek, died Wednesday, March 27, 2019. Funeral mass will be celebrated 11 AM Tuesday, April 2, 2019 at St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church, 4413 Morrish Road, Swartz Creek with Fr. Louis Ekka celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Mary Cemetery, Swartz Creek. Visitation will be held 2-5 and 6-8 PM Monday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, our temporary location at Hill Creek Church, 5363 Hill Rd., Swartz Creek where a rosary will be prayed at 7 PM Monday. Visitation will also be held 10 AM - 11 AM Tuesday at the church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church or the Swartz Creek Food Pantry. Mary was born December 7, 1926 in Owosso, the daughter of Frank and Barbara (Dedic) Libra and was a gradate of Corunna High School. She married Edward A. Chrenko on June 14, 1947 and he preceded her in death on September 27, 2013. Mary and her husband, Edward owned and operated the Creek Theatre and the Sports Center in Swartz Creek for many years. She was very active in many ministries at St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church. Mary was a member of the Friendship Club Czech Singers. Surviving are: eight children, Linda (Roger) Bloss of Swartz Creek, Dan (Alice) Chrenko of Northville, Diane Chrenko of Redford, Pat (Terry) Matzke of Swartz Creek, Jim Chrenko of Swartz Creek, William Chrenko of Swartz Creek, Sherry (Matt) Lupo of Essexville, Rob Chrenko of Clawson; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and a great great-grandson; two sisters, Frances (Winell) Rogers of Corunna, and Agnes Lund of Flint. She was preceded in death by: her parents; husband, Edward; infant grandson, Christopher Chrenko; daughter-in-law, Jayneen Chrenko; two brothers and three sisters.
