STOHON, John Andrew– of Sterling, MI, formerly of Davison, age 67. Our compassionate son, husband, father and grandfather was welcomed home by his Lord and Savior surrounded by his loving family on June 11, 2015 at Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 AM Tuesday, June 16, 2015 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 404 N. Dayton St., Davison: Rev. Fr. Andrew A. Czajkowski celebrant. Burial with Military Honors will be in Meadowview Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 12-8 PM Sunday, 4-8 PM Monday at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at the church. There will be a Scripture Service held 6 PM Monday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Disabled American Veterans.
John was born in Altoona, PA on June 16, 1947, the humorous and friendly son of Peter and Catherine (Olsick) Stohon. He married Karen Bissonnette on July 11, 1969 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Davison. John proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Conflict. He was a member of the American Legion,VFW and DAV. John enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing baseball and watching sports. John retired after 30 years of service at Buick City.
John is survived by his wife of 46 years, Karen; he was the loving father of, John-Paul (Marci) of Millington, Jodi (Bob) Kietzman of Bay City, Jenny (Jason) Dixon of Flint, Jacob of Burton; generous grandfather to, Kristina, Angelica, Amanda, Gary, Robert, Andrew, Isaac, Kathryn and Isabella; parents, Peter and Catherine Stohon; siblings, Peter (Carol) Stohon, Susanne Chilner; mother-in-law, Edna Bissonnette; many friends and loved ones. He was preceded in death by his daughter Jill Marie Stohon on August 16, 2005; father-in-law, Loren Bissonnette.
