Jordon, David Eastman, age 82, of Flint, died peacefully at his home on Saturday, April 23, surrounded by family. The family will welcome friends at Dodds Dumanois Funeral Home from 10 a.m. to noon on Wednesday, April 27, with memorial service following immediately after.
David was born on Sept. 16, 1928, in Jackson, Mich., the son of Harold and Doris Jordon of
Munith, Mich. He married Jeannine Nowicki on July 14, 1951, in Saginaw.
After earning his bachelor's degree from Michigan State University, David served in the U.S. Army as a company clerk during the Korean conflict. He retired from General Motors' Chevrolet manufacturing Plant after working as a statistician for 31 years. David is survived by his wife, Jeannine; sons Mark of Knoxville, Tenn., and Douglas (Hilda) of New York City; daughters Patrice (Peter)Zehnder of Flint, Jennifer (Daniel) Kildee of Flint Township, and Stephanie (Rick) Muschiana of Birch Run; 12 grandchildren and one great-grandson. David was preceded in death by his brother, Col. H.K. Jordon in 2001. Memorials may be made out to St. Michael Catholic Church of Flint. The family would like to thank the nurses and chaplain of McLaren Hospice program for their support and care. |
