Emory F. Telford, age 90 of Durand, passed away October 23, 2015 at his home. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 27, 2015 at 11:00 am at Watkins Brothers Funeral Homes, Durand Chapel with Pastor John Walworth officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Vernon. Visitation will be on Monday from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. and one hour prior to the service.
Emory was born in Flint on October 3, 1925, the son of E.B. And Amy (Kalsow) Telford. He resided in the Durand area most of his life. He married Esther Long April 18, 1953. They were married for 62 years.
Emory was in the construction business for over 50 years, with his two sons carrying on the business at the present time. Emory attended the Vernon United Methodist church. In his younger years he enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Emory is survived by his wife Esther, 4 children, Janet (Richard) Kasowski of Hartland, Tom (Gina), Telford of Bancroft, Kirk (Leslie) Telford of Bancroft, Judy (Dan) Ching of Owosso, also 10 grandchildren, Ben(Terra), Stephen (Emily), Ivy, Eric, Phillip Jared, and Luke Telford, Christopher Kasowski, Derek and Austin Ching.
