STOOPS (MCDONALD), Carolyn - Of Flushing, age 76, died Tuesday, August 9, 2016 at Hospice House of Owosso.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, August 13, 2016 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Reverend Ann Norton officiating.
Burial in Flushing Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Hospice House of Owosso.
Visitation 11 a.m.– 2 p.m. and 4-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Carolyn was born in Flint, Michigan on July 24, 1940 the daughter of the late Howard Vitus and Reita Mae (Ludwig) Marsa.
Carolyn graduated in 1958 from Central High School, Flint MI.
On February 14, 1959 she married Russell Dean McDonald;
She loved knitting, crocheting, cross stitching, reading and puzzles.
She loved to laugh, spend time with her family and enjoyed life.
Mrs. Stoops retired from K-Mart after 18 years of service.
Surviving are children, Jeffery D. McDonald (Marsha) of Flint, Gregory (Shari) of Grand Blanc;
grandchildren, Sheryl (Steve) Hull, Jamie McDonald, Jodie McDonald, Jonathan (Bernadette) McDonald, Crystal McDonald, Kevin (Carla) McDonald and Kamryn McDonald;
great-grandchildren, Hallie, Autumn, Violet Hull, Kiley, Liam, Landon, Madalyn, and Maeve McDonald, Ashley Musclow, Joshua Musclow Jr., Kate and Chloe Jacobs;
sibling, Linda Kirby of Flint.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell D. McDonald; parents, Howard and Reita Marsa; daughter, Marsa McDonald; son, Bradley McDonald; brothers, Ray and Roy Marsa; sister, Nadien Thomas; brothers, Howard Marsa and Jim Marsa.
