MCGUE, Albert William "AKA" Tootsie Roll Man, age 89, of Burton, Michigan, died July 23, 2019 after his courageous battle with cancer.

The son of William Albert McGue and Alta Virgie Ritchie was born on February 8, 1930 in Senath Missouri. Albert lost his father at a very young age and considered Henry Albert Wilcox his POP. At the age of 20 he served in the Army during the Korean War where he earned the ranking of Sargent First Class. Three up two down. He was asked to re-enlist in the Army but refused, because he wanted to go home and marry his High School sweetheart Ola Faye Harpole. On September 27, 1952 he married the love of his life Ola Faye Harpole in Piggott, Arkansas. Albert worked for Buick Motor Division and retired after 40 years of service. He also was a proud lifetime member of the Masonic Lodge in Mt Morris, Michigan with 50 plus years of service. "Tootsie Roll Man" will always be remembered as a fun-loving guy who enjoyed a good joke and always had a good story to tell. He was a wonderful storyteller who could keep you captive till the very end. Albert always had a smile on his face and said, " life is a wonderful journey", JUST SMILE and BE HAPPY !!!
Surviving are daughter Regina and husband Chester Bice of Flint;
Son, Brian and wife Leslie McGue of Mundy Township;
Grandchildren, Nicole and husband Craig Gibbs (great grand-daughters, Jessica and Danielle Gibbs) Hannah McGue, Michael and wife Carol McGue, Megan and husband Aaron Nyholm and Madison McGue, and several other great grandchildren, family members and friends.
