VanRIPER, Henry Lee "Jack" Age 77, of Fenton, died Wednesday, January 9, 2013. Cremation has taken place and a remembrance service will be held at a later date. Those desiring may make contributions to ALS or Genesee County Humane Society. Jack was born September 15, 1935 in Manchester, the son of Henry and Lillian (Applegate) VanRiper. He had resided in Fenton since 1969 coming from Brighton. He retired from Glencorp in Utica and had been employed by the Grand Blanc Landfill for 18 years. He was a member of the Operating Engineers Local 324. Surviving are: wife, Judy; 3 children, Jack VanRiper and wife Lisa of Clinton, Elizabeth Brown and husband Dean of Fenton, and Scott Golden and wife Kathy of Bay City; 6 grandchildren, Nicholas Ghering, Halley Ghering, Jamie (Aaron) Sanday, Trisha (Bobby) Henry, Tyler Golden, and Tyler (Katie) VanRiper; 7 great grandchildren; sister, Nancy Knight of Clinton; several nieces and nephews.
