KAUFMANN, Barbara Lee, age 59, passed away peacefully, following a courageous battle with cancer and went home to be with her Savior on Thursday, March 14, 2013. A celebration of her life will be held at 12pm Saturday, March 23, 2013 at Central Church of the Nazarene, 1261 W Bristol Rd Flint, MI, Pastors Dave Hintz and Jeff Ferguson officiating.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to one of the charities close to Barb’s heart; Samaritan’s Purse or Billy Graham Evangelical Association.
Visitation 1-8pm Friday, March 22, 2013 at Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint, MI.
Barb was born in Flint, Michigan on July 11, 1953, daughter of the late Henry Etheridge and Norma (Miller) Campbell. Besides her work at USPS and General Motors, she is remembered for her service as a sign language interpreter, nurse and caregiver for the elderly in Florida. Barb is best known for her commitment to her family and devotion to Jesus Christ.
Surviving are two daughters, Christine (Tony) Schoendorff and Becky Jo (Tom) Schwarz; grandchildren and her pride and joy, Mallory and Brody Schoendorff; siblings, Don Campbell, Shirley (Grady) Lee, Diane Halloway, Gary (Pam) Campbell; cousin, Lonnie (Janet) Campbell and many nieces and nephews.
Special friend, Brenda Ferguson.
Special thank you to nurses and staff on Floors 7 and 9 East at Hurley Medical Center and the staff at Fenton Healthcare.
Preceded in death by her brother James E. Campbell and nephew Jimmy Jones.
