LAVELY, Ethel. – of Mt. Morris, age 102, died Sunday, October 19, 2014 at her residence. Funeral Services will be held at 1PM on Wednesday, October 22, 2014 at the O'Guinn Family Funeral in Clio. Chaplain Don Bennett officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 11AM until 6PM and on Wednesday from 10AM until the time of service at 1PM. Contributions may be made to Trinity Assembly of God in Mt. Morris.
Ethel was born on May 20, 1912 in Flint, Michigan to the late Arthur and Edith (Moore) Schofield. She was a graduate of Mt. Morris High School and later attended Mott College. Ethel married Edwin John Lavely. He preceded her in death. She was a Nurse's Aide for many years. Ethel was a member of the First Baptist Church in Mt. Morris. She enjoyed gardening flowers and vegetables, quilting, crocheting and reading.
Surviving are: sons, Robert and Calvin Lavely of Mt. Morris; daughter, Eileen (Ken) Ruddock of Arizona; grandchildren, Janet (John) Sasser of Alabama and Michelle (Don) DeLuca of Michigan; step sons, Edwin "Bud" Lavely of Oregon and Lowell Lavely of Sacramento, CA.
