YOUNG, Robert Stanley - Age 84, of Flint, died Thursday November 22, 2018. Arrangements provided by Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Road, Flint. Robert was born March 31, 1934 in Osco IL, the son of the late J. Harvey and Nellie May (Sheppard) Young. He married Janet Anne DeVrieze on October 3, 1975 and she preceded him in death on November 7, 2017. Robert proudly served his country in the Army and retired from Genova Plastics with 23 years of service. Surviving are: son, Mitchell (Kimberly) Young of Flint Twp; step-sons, Michael Bennett of TX, Patrick (Lori Anne) Bennett of AZ; grandchildren, Joshua Young, Derrick Bennett and Trevor Bennett. He was also survived by his Niece Connie (Paul) Lapointe of Iron Mountain and beloved extended family, Rod and Tammy Rothermel of Grand Blanc. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Gordon.
