Margaret M. Eckel – Age 97, of Fenton, died Monday, April 13, 2015 at Regency of Grand Blanc. Mrs. Eckel was born March 25, 1918 in Pontiac, MI the daughter of the late Ralph and Sarah Brown. She worked as a bookkeeper for Moore Supply Co. which was owned by her husband Keith and Rex Moore and Gordon Anthony Florist. Margaret retired in 1982 and lived in Florida for the next 22 years. Surviving are her daughter Paula and husband Thomas McLean; grandsons, Keith McLean, Thomas McLean and friend Cat Burns; great granddaughter, Kailey McLean; sister, sisters-in-law, Bessie Brown, Irene Eckel and Gennie Coulter. Mrs. Eckel was preceded in death by her husband Keith Eckel September 5, 1997, brother and sister-in-law, David and wife Dorothy Brown, sister Dawn and husband Robert Cleaver. Friends may visit the family from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday at Hill Funeral Home, 11723 S. Saginaw St., Grand Blanc, MI. The Funeral Service will be held 12 noon Saturday April 18, 2015 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Genesee County Humane Society. Share your condolences with the family at www.hillfh.com. |
