FARKAS, Alan John – of Davison, age 65, passed away December 28, 2012 at home. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 404 N. Dayton St., Davison, MI 48423.
Alan was born in Detroit, MI on December 24, 1947, son of the late Joseph J. and Rose M. (Hoffman) Farkas. He was a graduate of Davison High School. Alan later graduated from the University of Michigan with a Bachelors of Arts Degree that led him into a career of Social Work. He was a faithful member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Alan enjoyed sports, especially U of M and Lions football. During his retirement, Alan truly enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
Alan is survived by his siblings, Joseph F. (Phyllis) Farkas, Karen (Marion) Dufon, Rosemary (Paul) Peterson and John (Debra) Farkas; many nieces and nephews. Alan’s family would like to express their sincere thanks to Don Harris and Bill Brandon for their compassion.
