Loving wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away Monday, September 1, 2014 at her home surrounded by her family, after a year-long battle with pancreatic cancer; age 62 years. Cathy Dziwura was born on June 10, 1952 in Flint, MI to the late Edward (Arlene) Dziwura. She was married to Daniel Attenberger at Our Savior Lutheran Church on August 11, 1973, he survives her. Cathy was employed at several divisions of G.M., and most recently at Nexteer Automotive. She was a member of St. Lorenz Lutheran Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family and grandkids at their cottage in Northern Michigan. She also enjoyed sewing, traveling, and crafts.
Surviving besides her husband Daniel are; a daughter, Deanna (Chad) Ross of Frankenmuth, MI; a son, Grant (Erica) Attenberger of Plymouth, MI; 2 grandchildren, Brevin and Makena Ross; a brother, Jerry (Joann) Dziwura of Atlanta, GA.
Funeral services will take place on Thursday, September 4, 2014 at 10:15 a.m. at Cederberg Funeral Home of Frankenmuth, 590 N. Franklin St. and 11:00 a.m. at St. Lorenz Lutheran Church. Rev. Mark D. Brandt will officiate with burial between services in St. Lorenz Lutheran Cemetery. Cathy’s family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Wednesday from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service.
