STEELE, Shirley A. - Of Fenton, age 76, died Friday, May 20, 2011 at Avalon Hospice.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 25, 2011 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Pastor Jim Wiegand officiating.
Visitation 2-8 p.m. Tuesday and 12 noon Wednesday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Avalon Hospice or the American Cancer Society.
Shirley was born on January 23, 1935 in Flint, Michigan and was a resident of Flint since 1946 and Fenton for the past 30 years.
Surviving are two sons, Jimmy Lee and wife Susan Steele,
Patrick Wayne and wife Gina, all of Linden;
six grandchildren, Robert and wife Stephanie, Natasha, Tara, Mallory and husband Chris, Zackery, Alana and Maddison;
great-grandchildren, Macey, Abbigail, Avery and Patrick;
sister, Marjory and husband Howard Hodgeson;
many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James; two sons, Michael Wayne and Gregory Len; sister, Beverly.
