MATHER, Kendall L. – Age 101, died Saturday, June 30, 2012 at La Casa Adult Foster Care. Mr. Mather was born June 6, 1911 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin the son of Milton and Grace (Richardson) Mather. Kendall served his country during W.W.II from 1941 to 1945 with the U.S. Army. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church where he served as an usher. Kendall was a Scout Leader, member of the Knights of Columbus and a volunteer at the American Red Cross during blood drives. He always had a project going at home. For 45 years Kendall was an Accountant for Buick Motor. Surviving are his sons, Robert Mather and Dorie Mather, Richard (Millie) Mather, Alan (Susan) Mather; grandchildren, Marc Mather, Eric (Anne) Mather, Jeffrey (Lori) Mather, Jennifer (David) Merchant, Jack (Alanna) Mather, Joseph Mather; 9 great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Elaine Mather; brother-in-law, Robert Nash; many nieces and nephews. Mr. Mather was preceded in death by his wife Isabel, son, Daniel Mather, 4 brothers and 3 sisters. Friends may visit the family from 3 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Hill Funeral Home. A Rosary will be prayed 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Friday, July 6, 2012 at Holy Family Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Maple Cemetery in Grand Blanc. |
