SAGE, Dr. Georgia Elaine, PHD – Of Grand Blanc, formerly of Florida and Frankenmuth, age 94, died Friday, July 5, 2019 at McLaren-Flint.
Funeral service will be held at 6 p.m. Friday, July 12, 2019 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Pastor Steve Wood officiating.
Visitation 3 p.m. Friday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Dr. Sage was born in Eldorado, Arkansas on December 17, 1924, the daughter of the late George and Ava (Inosley) Duncan.
In 1941 she married John Sage and they had been married 59 years when he passed away in 2000.
Dr. Sage practiced psychology at the Auburn Psychiatric Group in Flint, Michigan, where she remained a partner in the practice.
Surviving are son, Dr. Bobby (Jacqulyn) Sage, DPM;
daughter, Clella A. Banks;
5 grandchildren, Erin Sage, Kristin Zehnder, Michael and David Banks, Deanna (Rick) Bryant;
8 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren;
step-sister, Sarah Bean;
many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Dr. Sage was preceded in death by her husband, John S. Sage and sister, Vauline Hutchinson.
