BEARDSLEE, Harriet M. – of Grand Blanc, age 89, passed away Saturday, October 21, 2017 at McCandlish Manor. Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at Grand Blanc United Methodist Church, 515 Bush Avenue, Grand Blanc, Michigan with Rev. Dr. Julius E. Del Pino officiating. Burial follows at Flint Memorial Park. Visitation 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at Hill Funeral Home and from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday at the church. Harriet was born March 21, 1928 in Flint, Michigan the daughter of the late Hiram and Philena O’Dell. She married Paul H. Beardslee on November 8, 1947. Harriet was a member of the Grand Blanc United Methodist Church where she was a member of the Ladies Sewing Circle actively involved in mission work and the prayer shawl ministry. She also loved music. Surviving are: 5 sons and 1 daughter; Dennis and wife Jo of Fenton, Steven and wife Mary of Swartz Creek, Craig Sr. and wife Shirley of Northport, Mark of Mackinaw City and David and wife Tonia of Gaylord, Jan and husband Dave Swanson of Goodrich; 8 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Harriet was preceded in death by her husband Paul in 1987 and by her grandson Aaron in 2001. The family wishes to express a special thank you to Amy, Wendy and Ellen and the compassionate staff at McCandlish Manor. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Medical Team Hospice or the Grand Blanc United Methodist Church.
