MILLER, Joseph Earl “Joe” – age 86, of Burton, MI, passed away March 12, 2017 at WellBridge of Fenton. A Funeral Service will be held 1 PM Thursday, March 16, 2017 at Pilgrim Lutheran Church, 3222 S. Genesee Rd., Burton; Pastor Dan Wonderly officiating. Burial will be in Meadowview Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 4-8 PM at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the service on Thursday at church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be donated to Pilgrim Lutheran Church, in Joe’s memory.
Joe was born in Burton, MI on December 4, 1930, son of the late Jess and Annabell (Wilt) Miller. He married Theresa Hoeberling on February 13, 1954 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Davison, MI. Joe was employed with Buick for 36 years. He loved feeding the birds and was an avid gemstone and rock collector.
Joe is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Theresa; 2 daughters, Cindy (Steve) Caudell and Denise (Tom) Brown; 2 grandchildren, Erin (Franklin) Caudell and Scott (Susan) Caudell; 4 great-grandchildren, Oscar, Agnes, Harvey and Opal; sister, Mary (Harley) Tody; many other loving family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Marion Minix; 2 brothers, Jess and George Miller.
