Norma Jean Nattrass, age 89, of Burton, Michigan passed away on Friday, June 7, 2024. Norma was born on January 5, 1935 to the late William and Thelma Nattrass.

She attended Flint Schools. Graduating from Flint Central High School. She went to Mott Community College, Eastern Michigan University, and received a Master's degree from the University of Michigan.
She taught in Kearsley, Grand Haven and for Flint Community Schools. She retired from teaching kindergarten in 1985.

A member of the United Teachers of Flint. Active member of Asbury United Methodist Church. She helped organize and make many crafts to contribute to her beloved church bazaars. Current officer and member of Asbury UWF women in faith and leadership team.

An avid teapot and Boyds Bear collector. Enjoyed reading romance and mystery books, a frequent visitor to the library.

She enjoyed shopping adventures with her friends. Finding interesting books, crafts or decorative furniture.

Norma was grandma to her nieces and nephews. Because of her grandma’s nurturing spirit, she encouraged her family with her wisdom. She always showed up for her family and friends.

Norma had a loving, generous spirit, opening her home to family and friends with numerous acts of kindness.

A memorial service for Norma will be held Saturday, June 29, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Asbury United Methodist Church, 1653 Davison Road, Flint, Michigan 48506.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Norma's memory may be made to Asbury United Methodist Church, 1653 Davison Rd, Flint, Michigan 48506 US; and Heifer International, heifer.org.
