Alex M. Nickoloff - Birthdate February 25th, 1927
Pass-away on August 13th, 2020 at the age of 93. He was a caring and loving Dad; we will miss him dearly.
Retired from General Motors Fisher Body #1, Production Engineering in 1982 with 35 years of service.
Also, after 2 years retirement, was hired as a Mtg. Engineering Consultant at Buick Motor Division Engineering to coordinate new Buick City Tooling for the front wheel drive Buick, worked there for 2 years.
Life member of the Masonic Lodge, Morning Star #556, A 32nd degree Mason in Valley of Bay City, member of the Elf Khurafeh Shriners of Saginaw.
Life member (N8BEL) of the Genesee County Radio Club and a life member of the Amateur Radio Organization, 10-10 International Net, Inc.
Served in WWII, in Radio Communications with the Army Signal Corps, serving as one of the first (many) US soldiers into Japan after the detonation of the two atomic bombs and the surrender of Japan.
Had 56 years of marriage to my wonderful and loving wife Elaine who died on September 6th, 2001 of Alzheimer disease.
Years later I had a wonderful relationship with my friend Louise Jewell for many years.
Surviving are sons: Steven Nickoloff, Burton, Gary Nickoloff, Clio and daughter Susan (Fred) Heiman, Grand Blanc, 11 Grandchildren and 6 Great Grandchildren. Sister Vivian Rhoden, Deceased.
The family apologizes for any inconvenience due to COVID-19, private service will be held, Pastor Chad Short officiating.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
