JOYCE, James C. – Of Flint, age 73, died Friday, January 8, 2016 at Maple Woods Manor.
Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, January 12, 2016 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Pastor Curtis Lilly officiating.
Burial in Flint Memorial Park.
Visitation 2-8 p.m. Sunday and Monday and 9 a.m. Tuesday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
A Masonic Service will be conducted at 6 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
James was born in Jewell Valley, Virginia on October 29, 1942, the son of Amos Earl and Victoria Pearl (Compton) Joyce.
On September 8, 1962 he married Nadine White in Jewell Valley, Virginia.
He was a member of Linden #132, F.&A.M. for 47 years and the Shriners for 37 years. He enjoyed woodworking.
Mr. Joyce retired from GM in 1993, after 28 years of service.
Surviving are children, Darren (Kimberly) Joyce,
Bryan (Becky) Joyce and
Kelli (Ted) Golembiewski;
grandchildren, Jillian (Justin) Morris,
Kassi (Michael) Jozwiak,
Amber (Tony) Garcia,
Marci Dolan,
Ryan Dolan,
Ashley and Payton Golembiewski;
great-grandchildren, Avery, Haidyn, Lilli, Dylan, Ryan Jr. and Acen;
beloved dog, G.G.;
brother, Earl (Chess) Joyce;
along with many other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Nadine; his parents and sister, Sue George.
