KENNEDY, Joyce A. – Of Burton, age 78, died Saturday, February 23, 2013 at McLaren-Flint.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Pastor Michael Stallard officiating.
Entombment at Flint Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Michigan Food Bank or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
Visitation 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Joyce was born in Cordava, North Carolina on January 27, 1935,
the daughter of Ernest and Pearl (Hinson) Coleman.
On March 13, 1954 she married LeRoy P. Kennedy in Cordava, North Carolina.
She was a member of Fenton Baptist Church, where she was very active.
She loved watching all sports.
Mrs. Kennedy was employed for many years at Allied Foods and Kessels.
Surviving are husband, LeRoy;
son, Tim and wife MaryRose of Burton;
daughter, Cindy and husband Gordon Magness of Arkansas;
grandchildren, Lauren Kennedy and Sarah Kennedy;
brothers, Billy and wife Femeco Coleman of TX,
Denny and wife Kay Coleman of NC;
sister, Kay and husband Bob Thorsby of Flushing;
many nieces and nephews.
