Sandra "Sandy" Suzanne Cole
Age 77 of Swartz Creek, passed away Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at Chesaning Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Funeral Services will be held 3pm Saturday April 16, 2016 at Nelson-House Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday April 15 from 4pm to 8pm and from 2pm until time of service on Saturday.
Sandra was born December 30, 1938 in Alpena, the daughter of Edward and Evelyn (Wilson) Worniak.
She graduated from Hoover's School in Flint and earned a Medical Associates Degree from Delta College.
Sandra was a piano teacher all of her life and as a librarian with the Chesaning Public Library for several years. Sandra also served as a medical assistant with the Flint Eye Association for 6 years.
She enjoyed music, crafts and was an avid reader. Sandra loved painting; charcoal painting being her passion.
Sandra is survived by her special friend Judy Cunningham; children Ben (Penny) Cole of Thousand Oaks, California and Lucinda (David) Shooltz of Chesaning; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sisters Gloria Carter of Flushing and Karen Beasinger of Flushing; brother Joseph Gatz of Northville; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Chesaning Public Library.
